So this past week I have been at San Antonio. I went with my family and my dads cousin, so it wasn't too bad. We stayed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and came back on Thursday. Lets start with Monday. We arrived at San Antonio at about 1:00 p.m.. We checked in the hotel and unpacked all of our junk. This hotel, Drury Inn, has snacks on the first floor. It is more like dinner to me. They give you pizza, baked potato, drinks, nachos, and a lot more food. So that really helped us. After unpacking everything, we all went to the mall across the street. We ate at the food court. It was on the third floor. It was a big mall. I ate pizza. Then we just went walking around the mall, looking at clothes and stuff. Then my cousin, Yvette, started to feel sick. So we soon left. We went to the hotel and had the snacks that they were serving. It was good. After that we went to the haunted railroad tracks. The story is that a bus crashed with a train and all of the kids in the bus died. So you are supposed to park your car before the railroad tracks and the little kids from the crash will push you over the railroad tracks. They are saving you. The car is in neutral, which means that the car can't move no matter what. But at this place, they push you. It was so cool. On our way there, we passed a cemetery. I took tons of pictures with my digital camera. A lot of weird things came out. Then I took pictures at the actual railroad place. That's when the weird things started happening. These guys went into a dark place beside the railroad tracks. It was pitch black. Then all of a sudden you hear a glass bottle break or chains moving and the guys run out, screaming. They were super scared. Of course, these guys were drunk, but that's beside the point. My dad got "scared", as he told us, or he just wanted to get out of there, that we left. But a lot of weird ghosts and orbs came out on the pictures. Even people that were not even there. After this whole experience, we went back to the hotel to sleep. The next morning, Tuesday, we got up and went to eat breakfast downstairs. They had donuts, cereal, french toast, egg, juice, and a lot more stuff. We ate and then we went to San Marcos. We shopped for about 2 whole hours. I bought myself a shirt from Rue 21, a shirt from Aeropastel, and pants from Levi's. It was a long, hot walk that morning. We went to go eat at Joe's crab shack after San Marcos. I had chicken fingers with french fries. It was good. After we ate, we saw the water behind the restaurant. It was crystal clear. From a distance it looked dirty, but it is actually 3 x cleaner than the water that we drink. After that we went to the river walk. We walked around and looked through a lot of stores. Then I wanted to go to the Ripley's Haunted Adventure. So my parents took me. I went in with my uncle, Jaime, my sister, Jackie, and my cousin, Yvette. It was so cool. My sister was crying inside that she was scared. She wanted to get on, so she had to live with it. We entered and they took us up with this big cage. We were going up stairs with it so it was a bumpy ride. When we got off, it was pitch black. Then you hear a mans voice say, "Enter this way". We went through the door, not being able to see. The man started telling us about the room we were in. It was his uncle's office. He was showing us pictures of his uncle. This guy was no ordinary looking guy. He had black hair with a dark face and a black hat, dressed in black. While he was talking, BOOM, the lights go out because they were on already. A moment of silence. Then he screams again," Come in here". When you would pass him, he wouldn't even look at you, he would stare straight. It was cool. Then he starts explaining to us that we need to put our hands on the person in front of us shoulder. The people in front of us were the first people. He told us that we needed to find our way out. Now it was pitch black. We started walking, then the first people in line got lost. So we were closer to the front. Some guys were leading us. They didn't know where they were going. Then we went in this place where some people were locked up in cages. This girl was yelling, "You are late", "Take some liver". She was spraying us with water which was supposed to be liver. Then we passed this guy being shocked in a chair. It was crazy. Then we passed a guy being cut in his stomach with a big electric saw. Blood was squirting everywhere. It was awesome. Then we were walking and you could feel little rats running by your feet, it was so cool. Then we passed this place where the lights flickered on and off and a guy was just there looking at you. Then there were these crazy people in cages. They were yelling at us and screaming at us. It was hilarious. People were just telling them off. Then we got to a place where a deep-voiced man yelled, "Walk the plank". My uncle turned on the lighter so that we could see where we were going. Of course we weren't really walking a plank. It was just glass beside it. A girl yelled at my uncle. She said,"Turn off the light or I will kill you." We all started laughing. Towards the end a girl in a huge black wig was locked in a cage. She was screaming, "Let me out, please, help me, let me out". So someone let her our or she managed to escape. She was running beside us. Weird looking girl. We got to an elevator and she was still there staring at us. We rode down and before we got off, on the opposite door exit, it opened and a man appeared screaming. It was so funny. We got off and we were in Ripley's. My sister was still super scared. My sisters and I got our hand waxed. It was cool. They would put your hand in freezing water and then to wax it, they would put it in hot water. It was like a sculpture. We painted it and everything. We also saw the tallest man and the fattest lady in the world. We also got a picture with Forest Gump. After that we walked around. We went in the #1 most haunted hotel. The Menger Hotel. Every thing was old fashioned. It was all built in the early 1800's. It was so interesting. My mom asked a guy if he had ever experienced anything. He told us some stories. He said that about two weeks ago a lady called the front desk saying that someone was moaning outside of her door. That's a lady that haunts that floor. They also see a man walking through the walls which lead to his old room. He also said that two weeks ago, someone called the front desk. He said it sounded like the phone was off the hook. They were talking about a funeral that had happened yesterday and they were also talking about a rosary. They sent the man that was telling us this to go check it out. He said that he went and that the room was vacant. The people had just cleaned the room. He said that he was freaked out. When he finished I climbed the stairs and started taking a whole bunch of pictures to see if anything came out. Nothing came out. So we left so that we could go to the railroad tracks again. When we went this day, it smelled horrible. It smelled like dead something; person or animal, who knows. So we ended up leaving right away. I didn't catch anything on the pictures that I took this night. We went to the hotel and slept. It was a good sleep. We woke up on Wednesday and went to Splashtown in the morning. I got on almost all of the slides. I completed the obstacle course twice. It was a very fun time. In one of the slides, I got stuck. Then a big wave of water came and pushed me back again. My aunt almost fainted on one of the slides. It was a black one, tubed. It was super hot in there. She started shaking, but she was okay. At about 4 o'clock we left Splashtown. We went to the hotel, took a shower, ate downstairs and started thinking of what to do next. My mom found something in a magazine. It was called "Ghost Hunting". A man is going to take you on a tour. He is going to show you everything about the Alamo and of the haunted hotels. So we decided to go. He started us off my telling us where the Alamo used to stand and that the walls were 3 feet wide and 12 feet tall. He told us that they see a man in a black cowboy hat and a black raincoat type of material, soaking wet. They say that he was one of the 200 men who didn't make it. Those were the days when it was raining. Then we went to the Emily Morgan hotel. This was the hospital in the early 1800's. They see tons of ghosts there. The guy had a green laser light. He was pointing up towards the rooms. He was telling us that in one particular room, Room 811, they see a ghost almost every day. It costs 700 dollars to stay one night in that room. He also told us that in the Menger Hotel, in room 3052, a man haunts there. He died on the bed in that room. He stayed there for 3 days straight. He wanted people to go and see him. And they haven't changed the actual bed since. Then we went ghost hunting. He had equipment. There were these goggles that you put on and looked at a light for 2 minutes. When you took them off, if you have the gift, you can see peoples auras. Each color means something different. I couldn't see anything. Then we got to use energy sensors, temperature gadgets, and other things. He told us that in the front window of the Alamo, you can see a man. You can also see a 6 on the Alamo wall. When the sun comes up you can see 3 sixes. This happened right after the Ozzy Osborne incident. It was all so interesting. After all of that we went to look at the Menger Hotel again, then we went to the hotel. We went to sleep and left in the morning. Now we are finally home.
